Abstract

This review provides a clinical summary of the extrahepatic manifestations of cholestatic liver disease that is important for the managing general hepatologist. Drawing on evidence from primary biliary cholangitis and other cholestatic conditions, the article provides a practical guide for the recognition and management of symptoms including pruritus, fatigue, dyslipidemia, osteoporosis, and fat-soluble vitamin deficiencies.
