The study was strongly impacted by confinements and research restrictions due to the coronavirus 2019 pandemic. However, results showed potential beneficial changes to baseline in perceived itching intensity, disease severity, and disease-specific quality of life for HTP and IFDP. Authors conclude that further high-quality clinical trials should be performed investigating the effectiveness and safety of hypnotherapy, fasting with diet adjustments, as well as exercise.
Abstract
Background: Patients with atopic dermatitis (AD) frequently use healthy lifestyle behaviors, although their benefits are unclear. This study's aim was to investigate the effectiveness of hypnotherapy, fasting with diet adjustments, and exercise in AD patients. Methods: In a four-armed randomized controlled monocenter open explorative clinical trial, adult patients with mild-to-moderate severe AD underwent, over 16 weeks, a five-session hypnotherapy group program (HTP), a five-session intermittent fasting with diet adjustment group program (IFDP), a five-session exercise group program (EP), or no study intervention (control) as add-on to topical corticosteroid use if required. Endpoints included subjectively perceived itching on a visual analogue scale (VAS, 0-100 mm); disease severity by SCORing Atopic Dermatitis (SCORAD); and adverse events (AEs). Endpoints were analyzed descriptively in the Full Analysis Set (FAS). Due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, relevant changes to the study protocol included online in addition to "in-presence" group interventions, closing the study arm EP and premature trial termination before randomization of 120 intended patients. Results: During the COVID-19 pandemic, study recruitment was poor. The FAS included 20 patients (17 female) with 35.0 ± 12.1 (mean ± standard deviation [SD]) years of age. At baseline, mean ± SD for HTP (n = 6), IFDP (n = 4), EP (n = 1), and control (n = 9) were VAS itching 63.2 ± 18.0, 65.0 ± 13.9, 43.0 mm, 62.1 ± 17.3; SCORAD 43.0 ± 13.6, 47.0 ± 21.0, 60.3, 39.1 ± 15.6. After 16 weeks, endpoints were VAS itching 26.0 ± 16.4, 31.7 ± 9.9, 23.0 mm, 39.3 ± 27.0; SCORAD 24.1 ± 12.2, 29.1 ± 19.1, 49.1, 25.5 ± 14.4. No serious AEs related to the interventions were observed. Conclusion: Despite very small groups, study results indicated potential beneficial changes to baseline in perceived itching intensity, disease severity, and disease-specific quality of life for HTP and IFDP. Therefore, further clinical trials should be performed investigating the effectiveness and safety of all interventions. Among individuals with hypertension, those with resistant hypertension (RH) appear to have the greatest risk of cerebrovascular disease and associated cognitive impairment. The aim of this study was to investigate the potential influence of individual differences in pre-treatment inflammatory profiles on changes in cognition following lifestyle modification among RH participants in the TRIUMPH clinical trial. This study is a report based on the TRIUMPH study which was a randomised clinical trial. One hundred forty patients with RH were randomised with 2:1 allocation to either a 4-month Centre-based Lifestyle intervention or Standardized Education and Physician Advice. Results show that basal levels of elevated peripheral inflammation may represent an intermediate phenotype of risk for cognitive decline. In fact, individuals with higher levels of c-reactive protein at baseline demonstrated greater improvements in Executive Function/Learning following participation in an intensive lifestyle intervention. Authors conclude that their findings may help inform targeted treatments to reduce ADRD among middle-aged and older adults with cardiovascular disease risk factors.
Abstract
Individuals with resistant hypertension (RH) have the greatest risk of cerebrovascular disease and cognitive impairment among individuals with hypertension. Elevated levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines may represent a critical yet unexamined factor influencing the impact of healthy lifestyle changes on cognitive function. We explored the influence of inflammation on changes in cognition following lifestyle modification among individuals with RH participating in the TRIUMPH clinical trial. One hundred forty participants with RH completed a battery of neurocognitive tests along with the inflammatory marker C-reactive protein (hsCRP) and were subsequently randomized to an intensive 4-month lifestyle modification intervention or to education and physician advice control. Results indicated that the effects of lifestyle modification on Executive Function and Learning were moderated by pre-intervention hsCRP levels (P = .049), with treatment efficacy increasing across levels of baseline inflammation levels (low: d = 0.12; mild: d = 0.43; moderate: d = 0.81). We conclude that inflammatory profiles may help identify individuals more likely to improve executive functioning resulting from lifestyle modification.

Breast cancer (BCa) is the most common form of cancer among women. Radiotherapy (RT) treatment is an important component of breast cancer treatment and is used with curative intent as well as for palliation. One commonly reported adverse side effect of RT is cancer related fatigue (CRF). The aims of this study were to (a) examine the effects of a 12-week home-based resistance and aerobic exercise program on CRF, health-related quality of life (HRQoL), and sleep quality and duration in BCa patients during and up to 12 months after RT, and (b) investigate how CRF, HRQoL, and sleep quality and duration affect the participants’ ability to follow their prescribed exercise program. This study was a two-arm, randomised controlled clinical trial. One hundred and six (n = 106) women with stage I-III BCa scheduled to receive radical RT were randomised into exercise (n = 51) or usual care (n = 55). Results show that CRF was present at baseline and persisted during RT. The exercise group had a quicker reduction in CRF compared to the usual care group. Moreover, there was a significant difference in the HRQoL during RT between groups, and a quicker HRQoL improvement post-RT for the exercise group, with no changes in sleep quality or duration. Additionally, less fatigue and less trouble sleeping were associated with greater weekly aerobic exercise duration and higher rating of perceived exertion during aerobic exercise. Authors conclude that home-based exercise during RT is safe and effective in reducing CRF and improving HRQoL
Abstract
BACKGROUND Radiotherapy (RT) can lead to cancer-related fatigue (CRF) and decreased health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in breast cancer patients. The purpose of this trial was to examine the feasibility and efficacy of a home-based resistance and aerobic exercise intervention for reducing CRF and improving HRQoL in breast cancer patients during RT. METHODS Women with breast cancer (N = 106) commencing RT were randomized to 12 weeks of home-based resistance and aerobic exercise (EX) or usual care/control (CON). The primary endpoint was CRF, with secondary endpoints of HRQoL, sleep duration and quality, and physical activity. Measurements were undertaken prior to RT, at completion of RT (~ 6 weeks), at completion of the intervention (12 weeks), and 6 and 12 months after RT completion, while CRF was also measured weekly during RT. RESULTS Eighty-nine women completed the study (EX = 43, CON = 46). Over the 12-week intervention, EX completed 1-2 resistance training sessions and accumulated 30-40 min of aerobic exercise weekly. For CRF, EX had a quicker recovery both during and post-RT compared to CON (p < 0.05). Moreover, there was a significant difference in HRQoL between groups at RT completion, with HRQoL unchanged in CON and higher in EX (p < 0.05). There was no change in sleep duration or quality for either group and there were no exercise-related adverse effects. CONCLUSIONS Home-based resistance and aerobic exercise during RT is safe, feasible, and effective in accelerating CRF recovery and improving HRQoL. Improvements in CRF and HRQoL for these patients can be achieved with smaller exercise dosages than stated in the generic recommendations for breast cancer.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Pregnant people with chronic hypertension, pre-existing diabetes or both are at high risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Lifestyle interventions play an important role in disease management in non-pregnant populations. AIM: To review the existing evidence of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) that examine lifestyle interventions in pregnant people with chronic hypertension and/or pre-existing diabetes. METHODS A systematic review and narrative synthesis was conducted. Five electronic databases were searched from inception to April 2021 for RCTs evaluating antenatal lifestyle interventions in people with chronic hypertension and/or pre-existing diabetes with outcomes to include weight or blood pressure change. RESULTS Nine randomised controlled trials including 7438 pregnant women were eligible. Eight studies were mixed pregnant populations that included women with chronic hypertension and/or pre-existing diabetes. One study included only pregnant women with pre-existing diabetes. Intervention characteristics and procedures varied and targeted diet, physical activity and/or gestational weight. All studies reported weight and one study reported blood pressure change. Outcome data were frequently unavailable for the subset of women of interest, including subgroup data on important pregnancy and birth complications. Eligibility criteria were often ambiguous and baseline data on chronic hypertension was often omitted. CONCLUSION A lack of primary interventional trials examining the effect of lifestyle interventions on weight and blood pressure outcomes in pregnant populations with chronic hypertension and/or pre-existing diabetes was evident. Lifestyle modification has the potential to alter disease progression. Future trials should address the ambiguity and frequent exclusion of these important populations.

Heart disease is a major cause of death worldwide. Individuals at risk are usually identified by the presence of diseases such as obesity and diabetes, and lifestyle factors such as smoking. However, there is a new understanding that when the body converts food into energy it creates by-products which might play an important role in the development of heart disease. Better understanding of these may be able to aid the identification of individuals at risk. This analysis of 7897 participants from 6 different cohort studies aimed to determine biomarkers associated with a heart attack. The results showed there were 56 metabolites associated with heart attack, some of which were associated with an increased occurrence and some a decreased occurrence. Most of the identified metabolites were lipids. Metabolites involved in bile acid production and amino acids were also identified. It was concluded that these metabolites may act as an indicator for individuals who are at risk of heart attack, however further research is needed. This study could be used by healthcare professionals to understand that the science behind the use of metabolites to indicate risk for heart attack is developing but still in its infancy.

Introduction
Individuals at risk of cardiovascular disease are usually identified by the presence of comorbidities (e.g. obesity and diabetes), and lifestyle factors (e.g. smoking). However, there is a new understanding that certain metabolites may be associated with myocardial infarction (MI) and a better understanding of these may be able to aid the identification of individuals at risk. This meta-analysis aimed to determine metabolites associated with a MI.
Methods
- This meta-analysis of 6 cohort studies from the USA and Europe involved 7897 participants

- When the meta-analysis was stratified by race, it showed that out of the 56 metabolites identified, the majority were associated with white individuals (n=41), whereas only 18 were associated with black individuals. Of these, 3 were specific to individuals with an African ancestry.

Clinical practice applications:
- Research into metabolite association with increased risk of MI is still in its infancy and has little merit until we understand the mechanisms involved and the direction of causation
- It does however give an idea of the tools that may be developed in the future that will aid identification and help to develop prevention strategies
- The metabolites associated with MI may be racially specific and further understanding is needed on this. Hence the data should be interpreted with caution.

Abstract
AIMS: Myocardial infarction (MI) is a major cause of death and disability worldwide. Most metabolomics studies investigating metabolites predicting MI are limited by the participant number and/or the demographic diversity. We sought to identify biomarkers of incident MI in the COnsortium of METabolomics Studies. METHODS AND RESULTS We included 7897 individuals aged on average 66 years from six intercontinental cohorts with blood metabolomic profiling (n = 1428 metabolites, of which 168 were present in at least three cohorts with over 80% prevalence) and MI information (1373 cases). We performed a two-stage individual patient data meta-analysis. We first assessed the associations between circulating metabolites and incident MI for each cohort adjusting for traditional risk factors and then performed a fixed effect inverse variance meta-analysis to pull the results together. Finally, we conducted a pathway enrichment analysis to identify potential pathways linked to MI. On meta-analysis, 56 metabolites including 21 lipids and 17 amino acids were associated with incident MI after adjusting for multiple testing (false discovery rate < 0.05), and 10 were novel. The largest increased risk was observed for the carbohydrate mannitol/sorbitol {hazard ratio [HR] [95% confidence interval (CI)] = 1.40 [1.26-1.56], P < 0.001}, whereas the largest decrease in risk was found for glutamine [HR (95% CI) = 0.74 (0.67-0.82), P < 0.001]. Moreover, the identified metabolites were significantly enriched (corrected P < 0.05) in pathways previously linked with cardiovascular diseases, including aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis. CONCLUSIONS In the most comprehensive metabolomic study of incident MI to date, 10 novel metabolites were associated with MI. Metabolite profiles might help to identify high-risk individuals before disease onset. Further research is needed to fully understand the mechanisms of action and elaborate pathway findings.

In humans, shifted sleep patterns seem to interfere with several metabolic pathways. Shift work, short sleep duration, exposure to artificial light, inadequate eating time window, and lack of physical activity, are some characteristics of the modern lifestyle that contributes to the occurrence and worsening of cardiovascular disease (CVD). The aim of this study was to analyse the time of the day of exercise-induced effects on CVD risk factors in adults. This study was a systematic review and meta-analysis of twenty-two studies. Results showed that exercise produces an acute reduction of systolic blood pressure independently of the time of the day at which it is performed. Similarly, exercise produces an acute increase in blood glucose independently of the time of the day. Authors concluded that further research is needed to establish whether there is a diurnal variation of exercise on cardiovascular health and how it is related to health status, sex, or the type of exercise.
Abstract
OBJECTIVES To compare the effect of a single bout of morning vs. evening exercise on cardiovascular risk factors in adults. DESIGN Systematic review and meta-analysis. METHODS A systematic search of studies was conducted using PubMed and Web of Science from inception to June 2022. Selected studies accomplished the following criteria: crossover design, acute effect of exercise, blood pressure, blood glucose, and/or blood lipids as the study's endpoint, a washout period of at least 24 h, and adults. Meta-analysis was performed by analyzing: 1) separated effect of morning and evening exercise (pre vs. post); and 2) comparison between morning and evening exercise. RESULTS A total of 11 studies were included for systolic and diastolic blood pressure and 10 studies for blood glucose. Meta-analysis revealed no significant difference between morning vs. evening exercise for systolic blood pressure (g ∆ = 0.02), diastolic blood pressure (g ∆ = 0.01), or blood glucose (g ∆ = 0.15). Analysis of moderator variables (age, BMI, sex, health status, intensity and duration of exercise, and hour within the morning or evening) showed no significant morning vs. evening effect. CONCLUSIONS Overall, we found no influence of the time of the day on the acute effect of exercise on blood pressure neither on blood glucose.

Modernisation has brought increased comforts and limited mobility in our lives at the cost of an increased prevalence of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidaemia, and obesity, which are predecessors of major cardiovascular diseases. Prevention and control of coronary heart disease and its associated diseases are essential and can be achieved by modifying the lipid profile. The aim of this study was to systematically assess the effects of yoga on blood lipid levels. This study is a systematic review and meta-analysis of fifty-three randomised controlled studies. All studies employed a parallel design with a total of 13,191 participants whom were divided into 6,700 individuals in the control group and 6,517 in the intervention group. Results show that yoga had decreased total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglycerides, and very low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and increased high-density lipoprotein cholesterol among yoga practitioners. Authors conclude that yoga had a striking effect on balancing lipid profiles.
Abstract
OBJECTIVES Yoga is a mind-body stress-relieving exercise that increases mental and physical health, which may have a role in the improvement of metabolic disorders. The present study has reviewed the effect of yoga on lipid profiles as a systematic review and meta-analysis. METHODS We evaluated the available randomized controlled trials on the effects of yoga-based programs, and lipid profiles by searching PubMed/Medline, Scopus, Web of Science, and the Cochrane central register of control trials up to January 2022. Both fixed and random effect analyses were used to find the relationships. Subgroup analysis was performed based on the continent, duration of the included studies, gender, and health condition of participants to discover the sources of heterogeneity. RESULT Fifty-three studies were included in the current systematic review and meta-analysis with a total sample size of 13,191. There was a striking association between yoga and total cholesterol (-10.31 mg/dl; 95% CI: -14.16, -6.45; I 2 = 82.5%, P < 0.001), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (-8.64 mg/dl; 95% CI: -12.03, -5.25; I 2 = 75.0%, P < 0.001), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (1.98 mg/dl; 95% CI: 0.81, 3.14; I 2 = 91.6%, P < 0.001), triglycerides (-13.50 mg/dl; 95% CI: -20.09, -6.92; I 2 = 90.7%, P < 0.001) and very low-density lipoprotein (-3.94 mg/dl; 95%CI: -6.31, -1.56; I 2 = 72.2%, P < 0.001). CONCLUSION It seems yoga interventions had a substantial effect on lipid profiles, however, more qualified trials or cohort studies are needed to conclude exactly.

Overweight and obesity play a role in the development and potential outcomes in breast cancer. Several factors have been implicated linking cancer and obesity including hormones imbalances and inflammation, however exact links have yet to be elucidated. This systematic review of 4 randomised control trials containing 5234 women aimed to examine obesity related blood factors such as hormones, fats and sugar and their relationship with prognosis in individuals with breast cancer. The results showed that higher levels of testosterone were associated with an increased risk of recurrence of breast cancer. The female sex hormones, oestradiol and sex hormone binding globulin were not associated with breast cancer recurrence. Blood sugar levels and insulin resistance were not associated with breast cancer recurrence. There were certain growth factors, which are molecules responsible for stimulating cellular processes, that were responsible for an increased chance of recurrence of breast cancer and insulin-like growth factor and platelet derived growth factor were shown to increase risk but only when increased in combination with each other. Inconsistent results were seen with C-reactive protein, which is an inflammatory marker. It was concluded that testosterone may be associated with an increased risk of breast cancer recurrence, however the evidence from the other blood factor was unreliable due to poor quality trials. More trials are needed to investigate these factors further. This study could be used by healthcare professionals to understand that weight loss is the key to the prevention of recurrence of breast cancer in those who are overweight and that testosterone levels could be used to identify those who are at an increased risk.
Abstract
Obesity plays an important role in the development and progression of breast cancer via various oncogenic pathways. However, the biological mechanisms underlying this relationship are not fully understood. Moreover, it is unclear whether obesity-related and further associated biomarkers could be suitable targets for lifestyle interventions. This systematic review was conducted to examine relationships between obesity-related blood parameters and prognosis for breast cancer survivors enrolled in lifestyle intervention studies. A systematic, computerized literature search was conducted from inception through August 26th, 2020 in PubMed, EMBASE, and CENTRAL. The focus was on observational data from randomized controlled lifestyle intervention trials investigating associations between selected baseline biomarkers, measured in remission, and breast cancer recurrence, breast cancer mortality and/or all-cause mortality. Four studies with data from 5234 women met the inclusion criteria.Studies herein provide moderate evidence that bioavailable or serum testosterone may be positively linked to breast cancer recurrence and inversely linked to disease-free survival. Limited evidence suggests no associations with circulating estradiol or insulin levels on prognosis outcomes, whereas HDL cholesterol was inversely associated with breast cancer recurrence. For some other biomarkers, such as growth factors, adipokines, and CRP, the evidence for associations with disease prognosis was too weak to draw conclusions.Overall, despite potential candidates, there is insufficient evidence to confirm or refute that obesity-related biomarkers and sex hormones have a prognostic value for breast cancer survival. More longitudinal studies in breast cancer survivors to examine the clinical utility of obesity-related biomarkers are needed.

Androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for local and advanced prostate cancer (PCa) is effective at reducing androgens, and thus inhibiting tumour progression. However, testosterone reduces the production of a highly neurotoxic protein (amyloid beta peptide 40), which is linked with the development of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of a multi-component resistance-based exercise programme with daily protein, vitamin D and calcium supplementation on cognitive function compared with usual care in PCa survivors treated with ADT. This study is a secondary analysis of a 12-month single-blinded, two-arm randomised controlled trial. Participants (n = 70) were randomised (1:1 ratio) to either: (a) multi-component exercise intervention including progressive resistance training, body-weight impact and balance exercises, as well as a daily nutritional supplement containing whey protein, calcium and vitamin D, or (b) usual care control receiving 1000 IU vitamin D only. Results show that a multicomponent exercise training and nutritional supplementation intervention did not improve cognitive function in men treated with ADT for PCa compared with usual care. Authors conclude that cognitive decline associated with ADT may mechanistically differ to that of general age-related cognitive declines, thus it is important that future studies also examine other intervention modalities.
Abstract
OBJECTIVES The aim of this preplanned secondary analysis of a 12-month randomised controlled trial was to investigate the effects of a multicomponent exercise programme combined with daily whey protein, calcium and vitamin D supplementation on cognition in men with prostate cancer treated with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). DESIGN 12-month, two-arm, randomised controlled trial. SETTING University clinical exercise centre. PARTICIPANTS 70 ADT-treated men were randomised to exercise-training plus supplementation (Ex+ Suppl, n=34) or usual care (control, n=36). INTERVENTION Men allocated to Ex + Suppl undertook thrice weekly resistance training with weight-bearing exercise training plus daily whey protein (25 g), calcium (1200 mg) and vitamin D (2000 IU) supplementation. PRIMARY AND SECONDARY OUTCOME MEASURES Cognition was assessed at baseline, 6 and 12 months via a computerised battery (CogState), Trail-making test, Rey auditory-verbal learning test and Digit span. Data were analysed with linear mixed models and an intention-to-treat and prespecified per-protocol approach (exercise-training: ≥66%, nutritional supplement: ≥80%). RESULTS Sixty (86%) men completed the trial (Ex + Suppl, n=31; control, n=29). Five (7.1%) men were classified as having mild cognitive impairment at baseline. Median (IQR) adherence to the exercise and supplement was 56% (37%-82%) and 91% (66%-97%), respectively. Ex + Suppl had no effect on cognition at any time. CONCLUSIONS A 12-month multicomponent exercise training and supplementation intervention had no significant effect on cognition in men treated with ADT for prostate cancer compared with usual care. Exercise training adherence below recommended guidelines does not support cognitive health in men treated with ADT for prostate cancer. Obesity plays an important role in the development of cardiometabolic diseases. Excess body weight contributes to insulin resistance, unfavourable patterns of blood lipids and systemic inflammation, which are significant risk factors for cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. Lifestyle modifications that restrict energy intake are an effective approach to attaining weight loss and reducing fat mass; however, continuous energy restrictions (CER) often have poor compliance in the long run. Intermittent fasting (IF) approaches present a promising alternative to CER and may promote increased compliance. The favourable changes in cardiometabolic health attained by an energy-restricted diet can be further amplified when combined with exercise. This paper is a secondary analysis from a 12-week intervention investigating the effects of a twice-weekly fast (5:2 IF; IFT group) and CER (CERT group) in 34 young, overweight but metabolically healthy participants when combined with resistance training. The analysis focused on changes in cardiometabolic blood markers, ratings of hunger, mood, energy and compliance as well as the participant's intention to continue with their prescribed diets post-intervention. Both dietary patterns improved blood lipids, namely reductions in total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol over 12 weeks. Reductions in TC and LDL-C were more pronounced in the IFT group. No remarkable differences or changes in triglycerides, the inflammatory marker C-reactive Protein or markers of insulin resistance were seen in either group. Both groups reported high levels of dietary compliance and low levels of hunger, suggesting that both diets are well adhered to in the short to medium term. Some gender-specific differences were seen, but the author was unable to make conclusions due to the small study size. The analysis demonstrated that IF and CER, combined with resistance exercise, can improve some cardiometabolic risk biomarkers in overweight but metabolically healthy adults, independent of weight loss, with greater improvements with IF approaches.
Abstract
(1) Background: Excess weight in the form of adiposity plays a key role in the pathogenesis of cardiometabolic diseases. Lifestyle modifications that incorporate continuous energy restriction (CER) are effective at inducing weight loss and reductions in adiposity; however, prescribing daily CER results in poor long-term adherence. Over the past decade, intermittent fasting (IF) has emerged as a promising alternative to CER that may promote increased compliance and/or improvements in cardiometabolic health parameters independent of weight loss. (2) Methods: This paper presents a secondary analysis of data from a 12-week intervention investigating the effects of a twice-weekly fast (5:2 IF; IFT group) and CER (CERT group) when combined with resistance exercise in 34 healthy participants (17 males and 17 females, mean BMI: 27.0 kg/m2, mean age: 23.9 years). Specifically, changes in cardiometabolic blood markers and ratings of hunger, mood, energy and compliance within and between groups were analysed. Dietary prescriptions were hypoenergetic and matched for energy and protein intake. (3) Results: Both dietary groups experienced reductions in total cholesterol (TC; mean reduction, 7.8%; p < 0.001), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C; mean reduction, 11.1%; p < 0.001) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (mean reduction 2.6%, p = 0.049) over the 12 weeks. Reductions in TC and LDL-C were greater in the IFT group after adjustment for baseline levels and change in weight. No significant changes in markers of glucose regulation were observed. Both groups maintained high levels of dietary compliance (~80%) and reported low levels of hunger over the course of the intervention period. (4) Conclusions: Secondary data analysis revealed that when combined with resistance training, both dietary patterns improved blood lipids, with greater reductions observed in the IFT group. High levels of compliance and low reported levels of hunger throughout the intervention period suggest both diets are well tolerated in the short-to-medium term.
